SAMS has a versatile team of consulting professionals, blending maturity and youth, with practice leaders typically possessing upwards of 10 years of experience.

Large assignments awarded to SAMS are guided and supervised by the Directors of the company.

SAMS HR Consulting Division is led by Gautam Nath, MD & CEO. Directors and Practice Leaders for the Division include Abhai Raj Singh, Surbhi Maheshwari, Kafil Akhtar, and Simon Athaide.

Sanjay Rastogi, Director, oversees SAMS PSCM Consulting Division.

Dedicated teams reporting to the above Directors and Practice Leaders are assembled and deployed for all large engagements. Operational-level consultants are guided by team leaders, typically at the level of Senior Consultant, with the company.

Gautam Kailash Nath
MD & CEO
An FCA with +30 years of senior, general management consulting experience, with India’s best-known corporates and not-for-profits, Gautam founded SAMS in 1990. Under his stewardship, commencing 1997, SAMS started focusing on and providing specialised HR consulting services to the public health and development sectors. Gautam leads all large engagements awarded to the company by multilateral UN agencies, I/NGOs and the Government, and has been instrumental in instituting robust, time-efficient processes to enable accelerated hiring and staffing of large public health and development interventions, resulting in SAMS positioning as the country’s premier, go-to consultancy, for HR solutions in the above areas. Gautam’s areas of specialization include Executive Search, HR Outsourcing and Third-Party Payrolling, Organization Development, Change Management and Business Process Improvement.
Sanjay Rastogi
Director, Procurement & Supply Chain Management Services
A senior FCA, Sanjay has +23 years of unmatched domain expertise in directing large, complex assignments for the design and implementation of Procurement & Supply Chain Management (PSCM), and Training & Capacity Building projects, for the different National Health Programmes in India. Building on a pioneering process outsourcing project awarded to SAMS by WHO for Drug Logistics and SCM at CTD, for RNTCP/ NTEP in 2000, Sanjay has provided similar solutions to other UN Organizations, INGOs and the Government, for the RNTCP/ NTEP, NVBDCP, NACP and UIP Programmes. He has instituted robust PSCM systems and processes, with emphasis on bidding & evaluation, e-procurement, contract management, effective funds management, efficient invoice and payment processing, taxation and compliances.
Abhai Raj Singh
Director- Recruitment
An MBA in Rural Development, Abhai has +17 years of experience in overseeing recruitment assignments. Abhai has been a key architect of SAMS' ‘bulk’ recruitment and payroll solutions, executing complex turnkey projects for a diverse array of Central and State Government institutions, as well as INGOs. Lead an ambitious recruitment drive for National Health Mission, U.P., M.P., Jharkhand & Tripura and advertised approx. 45,000 vacancies in the last few years and successfully conducted multiple OMR and online-based written tests for approx. 2 lac candidates in multiple states. Currently leading large-scale payrolling and HR management projects for the Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission (UPSRLM), overseeing 4,000+ staff across 75 districts.
Surbhi Maheshwari
Associate Director - Recruitment
A Business Management graduate, with a specialization in HR from the Institute of Management Development and Research, Pune, Surbhi, has 15 years of experience with SAMS. She has played a pivotal role in leading search and talent acquisition mandates, focusing on bilateral and multilateral agencies and INGOs such as GIZ, WHO, UNICEF, UNDP, UNFPA, FHI 360, CARE India, The Union, Vital Strategies, Water.org, Grameen Foundation and the Climate Group. Surbhi has been instrumental in developing and implementing SAMS robust talent research methodology for leadership/ senior management search assignments, ensuring we assemble high-quality, responsive prospects, including passive candidates, within aggressive timelines.
Kafil Akhtar
General Manager for Large Recruitment Projects
Kafil, an MBA in Information Technology from Amity University, Kafil brings over 16 years of experience in HR Management and Information Technology. His expertise lies in successfully managing and supporting large recruitment projects for key Government and Non-Government clients, including MPRLP, NRHM Bihar, GLPS, FIND, NHM (UP, MP & Tripura), NHSRC, IHAT-UP, UPMSCL, JRHMS, and more. Kafil excels in providing technology solutions encompassing database management, screening, interview assessments, and administering both online and physical written tests. His skills extend to result preparation, ensuring compliance with state-specific Government reservation policies.
Simon Athaide
Finance Head
A B.Com. (Accounts) from Ranchi University, with 19 years of experience in the finance and accounts function, Simon has played a key role in anchoring and leading Third-Party Payrolling (TPP) and Employer of Record (EOR) projects at SAMS, over the past 15 years. Simon shoulders complete responsibility for revenue and expenditure accounting, efficient claims processing, and ensuring smooth disbursements. Simon has an impressive track record as the Practice Leader for SAMS’s TPP Consulting Practice, a position he has held for more than 15 years. Simon has provided Finance, accounting and administrative oversight for TPP projects awarded to SAMS by various clients including UNICEF, WHO, GIZ, EY-UNDP and FIND.
Ritu Khushu
Director, Procurement & Supply Chain Management Services
A B.Sc. (Chem.) and CA (Inter.) with + 20 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, and Capacity Building of public health officials in the TB Control, Malaria and HIV/AIDS programs. Empanelled with Global Drug Facility (GDF) as a Certified Procurement and Supply Chain Consultant, Ritu has been a part of Joint Monitoring Missions and Global Workshops for TB Elimination in various South-East Asian countries. She is also a semi-qualified Chartered Accountant, with expertise in managing Project Finance and Accounting & Assurance. She has successfully instituted systems and processes for ensuring effective inventory management for two of India’s largest and most complex PH Programmes viz RNTCP (now NTEP) and NVBDCP.
Sridevi B
Senior Manager, Communications
An MBA (Marketing) and a certified Digital Marketing professional, Sridevi has +18 years of experience in the corporate and social sectors and been associated with SAMS for the past six years. She specialises in essaying strategic and operational roles in the Communication domain with specific focus on Public Health and Education programmes. Her areas of expertise include content management, visual communications, digital marketing, branding, collateral management, website content management, social media, development of business proposals and internal communication. She has also been instrumental in providing project management support to assignments awarded to SAMS by UNDP, DHR, CTD and Kamonohashi Project, amongst others.
